Enjoyable, but fairly repetitive.

I certainly don't think my time spent watching this was wasted, but I didn't feel it was perfect either. My main gripe was that I rarely felt like I could focus enough on any one image to ever become grounded. As soon as I was starting to like a certain moment, things switched again. That made it fairly difficult to follow and appreciate the art work (some of which was excellent). Also, certain "themes" (like melting faces) were overused, or all should have been placed back to back.

Good work. Makes me want to do a collab.

1000 blessings upon you MrGuru!

Ha! Great idea, but give me more!

I thought this was hilarious, because it's very true. However, it's only like 8 seconds long, and loops. I watched for about 30 seconds hoping it would turn into some Iraq Climate Change Remix or something, but I was sadly disappointed. Why not make an entire song out of it and do a whole music video? The idea is great, but you just don't spend enough effort executing it.

Renegade-Hamster responds:

I would have made a song out of it, but I can't do music. I could ask a friend to mix it for me, and then replace this with the new and improved one.

Thanks for the feedback!

Meh

I know the song, and you didn't do it justice. Sync your sound for one, make the movie longer for another, and actually include animation.

That and the boogy-man didn't look anything like an ICP boogyman would.

Psykotika responds:

I know.

I did sync it, unfortunately, as I said, it lags.
And I know it didn't, the boogyman's an inside joke. Sorry.

Good work

I was happy to see a good new submission. You obviously have a lot of potential, and I expect good flashes from you in the future. The action was good and the soundtrack to match it was appropriate, but animation sometimes got a little hokey. I would recommend cutting down your use of gradients – although they look nice sometimes, they often stick out way too much and are signs of an amateur animator. If you do use gradients, make the change between light gray and dark gray, for example, rather than pure black and white. Either way, good work!

Babaganoosh99 responds:

Thanks for the feed back. I'll take that into consideration

Beta?

You can't make a beta of a movie, you can make a beta of a game. Because you bothered to submit this in its uncompleted version, it will be scored horribly. You suck.

Improve: finish it, and it might be good.

Eta-Beeta responds:

haha i know i just thought it sounded kewl...and plzz blam it cuz i dont want to have it on ng,,, i just wanted to hear what u people think about it and how it should continue

Good

That was a good view,
but it was just way too short
to earn any fives.

It's a so-so

Well, Black MagiK, I HAVE made movies, so listen up:

1) Make the intro for yourself much shorter, I was already inclined to be disinterested before the movie started.
2) Make it a little more fast-paced. I found myself waiting too long for something to happen, so that I was laughing at jokes and not the movie as a whole. Try raising the framerate and see how that makes it look.
3) Sync the sound better. Do you make the sound a Stream or an Event? Sometimes the mouths moved so much longer than the voice I thought it might have even been a choice of yours.
4) Experiment with your comic timing. Let us see a joke longer and make the pauses in between them shorter.

That's it, I think. The graphics were fine and the sounds was... okay... although it was a little bit blown out (if you record, don't let the amplitude go above the top or bottom to keep it from blowing out), and the movie could have really benefitted from a constantly playing bkgd song. The song spontaneously stopping when text came up only aided the feeling of slowness and pauses.

Otherwise, it was good! I think that if you keep what I said in mind your next movie will be much better.

BlackMagiK666 responds:

Yeah i know i had a problem with the lip sync , and that was because it was first done in french ( this whole thing was a socials project thats why there was info and stuff... ) so you can understand why the sync would be off. Also its running at 20 fps, and i had roughly only a week to do it so i rushed to get it done. Thnx for ur review and tips.

Great Movie

This was a very solid movie that obviously showed a lot of hard work. I still remember your first one, and I can definitely say very honestly that this one is a vast improvement. My problem with the first was that I just was not pulled into the plot at all, but this one fixed that rather nicely with the ability to read about the background before watching the movie, and a plot that set itself up much more than the last one. Was there any influence from Hitchiker in here by any chance?

Great movie, can't wait for the next.

McRhyme responds:

Good, you think the series is starting to make sense and be about something!

Crap, crap, funny joke, crap, crap, crap

My god, why is this #10? Please, this movie was a piece of crap. If you cut out all of the stupid homosexual and shit jokes, and cut out most of your crap plot, stuck to the video game parady jokes you did (like throwing Link), it would have been a decent movie. But as is it is one of the most boring pieces of crap I have ever watched. It was only for brief moments every so often.

Why the hell does everyone like this shit?

xritualfaminex responds:

I'm sorry that you found the movie boring.

It does seem apparent that you reviewed harshly based on my score and the movie's position on the charts. That's not nice.

Nice

I enjoyed it, but it was just kind of weird. You didn't do a great job getting me interested in the world you created, but that's probably just because you were using flash. Oh well, I'm looking forward to the next ones.

McRhyme responds:

Okay, me too.

I'm not really making Flash movies anymore, but I still stop by to watch them. If you do like my movies, thanks, and if you don't, be easy on me. I was a freshman in high school when I made most of those, and I was using Flash 4.
